Entry requirements
To join us at Cardiff University International Study Centre, you need to meet the minimum academic and English language entrance requirements.
For courses starting this academic year (2021/22), if you are starting virtually from your home country, we have expanded the list of English tests we will accept for entry to programmes at Cardiff University International Study Centre. Find out more here.
Please note that when you transition to campus, if you are studying an undergraduate programme you will need to obtain a UKVI Secure English Language Test (SELT) for visa purposes before you can travel to the UK to continue your studies. If you are studying the Pre-Masters, if you provided a SELT equivalent to start virtually, you will not need to submit a SELT. Find out more on the SELT equivalent tests accepted here.
If you do not meet the English language requirements for your pathway programme, you can join an English language preparation course first.
To progress to your undergraduate or postgraduate degree, you will be required to successfully complete your pathway programme and achieve the required grades.
